It’s true…we could spend the day talking about focus and bright shiny objects and how they affect your business, but there’s something else.
Six things which, when incorporated into your business, create a magnetic pull so powerful that you can’t help but transform your vision into reality:
- Vision
- Purpose
- Intention
- Goals
- Priorities
- Actions
Let’s break that down. . .
1. Your Vision — That “thing” you want for your business, your biggest, longest term goal: the granddaddy of everything you do.
2. Your Purpose – This is your big “WHY”. Why, when you could be out with friends are you working on your next product or coaching program? Why are you self-employed, with all the risks that come with it when you could have a steady salary and benefits?
3. Your Intention – What impact do you want to have on the world? Your clients? What’s the legacy of your business?
4. Your Goals – How do you know you’ve done it? Is there a certain number of clients you’ve worked with? Is there a certain number in your bank account? What are the metrics which show you you’ve arrived at your destination?
5. Your Priorities – Every day things are clamoring for our attention: friends, family, dishes, laundry, colleagues, pets, unfinished info products, client fulfillment. . .which ones get your attention first?
6. Your Actions – Those daily activities which ultimately determine whether numbers 1 through 5 are achieved. What do you do right now to move you forward? And next? And then?
Starting at the bottom, with your actions, right now, today. . .you can see how they roll up to support you in achieving your ultimate vision: every step supports the one above it.
What are you going to do next?
