Thanks to everyone who shared their favorites for the best Online Visibility tools for 2008.
I’ve come up with my list, checked it twice, and here are my votes for the best of 2008:
1. Best Overall Online Visibility Tool/Strategy
In case you haven’t noticed, social networking is how you connect and market your business now. Up to a year ago, I was razzed for using social networking to promote my business and get new clients. Now we’re all one big Web 2.0 Happy Family.
2. Best Social Networking Site
This changed every few months in 2008.
First half of 2008: Facebook
Second half of 2008: Twitter
3. Best Twitter Tool
TweetLater has saved me so much time, how can I not love it? As long as you use it correctly, it’s a dream come true.
4. Best Blog(s)
It’s a 3-way tie:
Maria Reyes McDavis, The Web Success Diva for overall quality and generosity of information.
- TwiTip has everything you ever need to know about Twitter, presented in a great friendly format
-Chris Brogan emanates coolness and the spirit of Web 2.0.
5. Best Rebranding
Another tie! All 3 of these are creative, focused, and deliver AWESOME information
-Angel Aviles McClinton Media Mojito
- Leesa Barnes, Marketing Fit
- Shama Hyder, Click to Client (I’m a sucker for alliteration!)
6. Best Podcast
John Jantsch, Duct Tape Marketing
He makes it look so easy…
7. Best Online Video Channel
Lou Bortone’s LouTube
Angel Aviles McClinton’s Tips, Media Mojito (yes, a double winner!)
8. Best Event of the Year
I wasn’t there, but EVERYONE I know was at Ali Brown’s Online Success Blueprint and the glow is still there.
9. Best Info Product of the Year
Mari Smith, Facebook Fortunes
They don’t call her the Pied Piper of Facebook for nothin’!
10. Best Advice
From me: Focus on building relationships and credibility and the rest will take care of itself!

How could I NOT have one of the BEST re-brands in 08? You are a creative catalyst, a visionary! In all honesty MediaMojito happened as a result of you walking the talk. I probably wouldn’t have bothered had you not encouraged me to share what I know and helped me do it right! Thank YOU.

My Birthday Social Media Style…
As my 35th birthday comes to a close and I writhe in pain at the amount of vanilla cake I ate, I can say that it’s been a great 35-years thus far.
