Do You Need More Info Products?

Recently I asked a question to my ezine subscribers, “What’s your single biggest question about creating a PROFITABLE business doing what you love?”

People who shared were very HONEST. Over the next couple weeks I’m going to pick some of the responses and answer them here on the blog. I’ll bet you at some point a question that’s been on your mind comes up, so be sure to keep coming back (or better yet, get a weekly summary of the blog by signing up for the “Why Social Networking” free guide in the box on this page)

Here’s a great question from Susan H:

Everyone seems to have the “best business” tricks which ultimately involves paying to learn how to run my business. Some programs I have found to be helpful, some I have not. I have more info stuffed into my head than I can even remember! How do I get everything to come together?

My Response:

Susan, you’re not alone. In fact, it reminds me of when my mom was being treated for cancer. She had to take medications to offset the effects of other medications to offset the effects of other medications… not fun. With info products, it feels like we’re constantly being pitched something new that we absolutely need then we need to keep buying more stuff to make sense of the last stuff we bought. I need a cold compress just after writing that sentence!

I’m not knocking info products (I’ve created several myself over the years). In fact, the problem isn’t actually with the info products. These are information tools, not magic pills we swallow and all will be well. They require you to open books, read, study, watch videos, learn, think, take time to plan, and implement.

What’s missing for most people is a strong foundation to rest these resources on. I like to use the analogy of a beautiful chair… that only has 3 legs. It doesn’t matter what you do to make it look better, it will tip over the minute you put something on it.

Look at your business. Is it a 3 legged chair? What is missing in your marketing, your message, or your offers that is keeping you from having the success you want?

Here’s a Resource That Does Not Contain Binders, Boxes, Blueprints… and it’s FREE:

If you’d like to practice some educational eavesdropping, you can join me on February 3rd for a free call where I’m going to do some Live Business Makeovers using my Profitable Essence(tm) approach.

On this call, I’ll actually coach a couple of lucky peeps LIVE and it’s going to answer even more of the questions people submitted. It’s free and I’d love you to be there. Tweet about it, tell a friend… it’s going to be hot.
