Social Media Simplified: Tips from the Experts


This last week I got to be a part of a great event called Social Media Simplified, held in Ventura, CA. Facebook guru Mari Smith, Twitter expert Deb Micek, blog expert Denise Wakeman, Google expert Simon Leung and myself got to share our expertise with a live studio audience. The entire event was filmed and will be released soon on DVD. Be sure to grab a copy, this is one to add to your marketing library.

Mari covered great tips on using Facebook to build your business.

Deb covered Twitter and also talked about her blog system i360.

Lynda was our gracious facilitator and general organizer.

Denise shared her expertise of blogging for business and SEO.

Simon “wowed” us with a live demo of his tricked out blog.

And I got to share about using social media for free publicity!

Big thanks to my homegirl Angel Aviles McClinton of Media Mojito for braving the 2 hour drive up to Ventura (and the 3 + hour crawl home through traffic!) Also shout outs to Jesse Luna who heard about the event on Twitter.

    Hey Nancy! Loved seeing you at Social Media Simplified. Thanks for teaching me not to be a JV Floozy! Great advice =-) I love that you talked about being a working mother using twitter as your home base. We have common paths with what I do with Six Figure Moms Club.
