MarciaCongratulations on having your twins! Re: simplify- It's really distilling your brilliance to its highest value and deepest essence- so I wish you much clarity as you get to that point. Nothing like a little person in diapers (or in your case 2 little people!) to help you reprioritize.

You always share such great information Nancy. Always always. I love the distinction you make between your message and a marketing schtick. I've been doing a lot of exploration around these things after rebranding last year ... so this year has been soul-searching, tweaking, tweaking, exploring, more tweaking, more exploring and tweaking. I *believe* my message is: "Radiate your own unique spirit" and/or "Connect with the people you love working with" ... because I'm so passionate about people connecting ... and helping them to do that by expressing their spirit, just oozing out in the imagery I create for their logos and web sites. I know for myself, I spent well over 15 years trying to *hide* my personality, in order to serve what I thought was professionalism. So silly! Turned out what people loved about me *WAS* my personality and my spirit. Who knew! ;)Ooh, I see a soapbox here, let me jump down. I get all excited about this stuff.1. Ideal client: life coaches, healers, solopreneurs. I know because I understand them, I ADORE them and I totally believe in the magic they create in people's lives! I love to team up and work one-on-one with somebody to build their business as opposed to when I used to work with corporations. 2. Where is your ideal client? Hmmm ... good question. I tend to find them hanging out with other clients of mine. BUT I'm certain there is somewhere else that I could be looking!3. What’s your MESSAGE? "Radiate your own unique spirit" ... (that may need tweaking ;)4. How is your MESSAGE standing out so people hear, see, experience it? Hmmm... another good question. I'm thinking on this one ...5. What is absolutely, positively, the most important thing that your business accomplish this year… besides making money? Connecting with my favorite clients and supporting them in expressing their gifts. This aspect of my business has really been flourishing this year: my *ideal* clients finding me. And I love it that I've begun looking at "prospect" calls not as "sales" but as exploring with someone, helping them to get clear on what they need and seeing if we're a fit. I call them pre-client chats and I totally look forward to them now. Wow look at all of the thoughts you've inspired, Nancy! That musta been SOME great article! ;) Warmly,Col

How timely! I've just been feeling over the last week or two that I need to get back to basics and ask myself those questions again. It could be something to do with me having had my twins 4 months ago and feeling like I need to simplify the business... :)
