Social media jedi knight Chris Brogan is truly a master of Web 2.0.
In addition to being a pioneer in social media, Chris also displays incredible patience with the tidal wave of new users as he recently outlined his Twitter approach on his blog.
In a recent post How I Use Twitter at Volume Chris answers many of the questions people have for someone who seems to be always plugged in… well, that’s because he is, but in a very nicely explained way!
Chris calls Twitter “the new telephone” so if you think of how often you use the phone, just transfer that notion over to Twitter. (OK, now I’m going to have to re-examine all my rants against people who are on Twitter all day and all night. I hereby call off my pack of Aztec chihuahuas, so you plugged in 24-7 Tweeps may live with one less adversary.)
Here are a couple of highlights from Chris’ post:
Chris has 4 goals with Twitter:
1. Be helpful
2. Be informative
3. Be Human
4. Be responsive
He’s also a big fan of TweetDeck (I’m a Twhirl girl myself), Twitter searches, iPhones… and did I say he’s always plugged in?
Big Thanks to Chris for sharing his strategies with everyone. Keep his philosophy in mind and remember, lead with relationship building and boosting your credibility.

Brogan with da metaphor for 2 points! Swish! Nice tips.
Get in touch and get a pure use out of Twitter and think of what you’re doing as “tweeting” - and that’s it. It’s such a novel concept, marketers just shut down and go “tweet? tweet more sales? tweet ROI? tweet risk/reward ratio”
No dude, it’s like, just “tweet”. And tweet the way people like to be tweeted, and you’ll do twit-tacular. And you can twote me on that.
