On the afternoon of April 4 (Easter Sunday) I decided to shoot a quick video to promote my upcoming live event “I Heart My Biz” (preview call happens 4/7 if you’re not already signed up!)
Just a few seconds into it, the room started to shake. It was an earthquake epicenter Mexicali, Baja California about 200 miles southeast of where I am. I didn’t experience the 7.2 magnitude, just the ripples but still it shook the house and shook us up.
After everyone calmed down, I hopped back to my computer and uploaded the video to YouTube. (If you’re reading this post on an RSS feed and don’t see the video player, click HERE)
If you watch it on YouTube, you can see how I used the annotations feature to add some extra info and insights (I don’t know why the annotations won’t show up when I post it here, but I’m OK not knowing that for now. I’d rather just get this online)
Earthquakes happen and it’s important to keep a cool head during any kind of emergency. Here are some tips for earthquake preparedness and don’t forget about the people around the world devastated by such disasters.
