Why I Automate: Twitter Confession Part 2

In my last post, I discussed my opinion on automating parts of one’s social networking. I see it as a supplement, not a replacement, for good old fashioned relationship building and communicating.

I don’t share automation tips with readers because I am fascinated with how RSS feeds operate, or any coding/technical/left brain reason. My reasons are pure and simple: time and plain old “work-life balance”.

Time for self, time for family, time for working with clients, time for community, time to chill, time to eat, time for anything other than being plugged in. Believe it or not, I don’t need to be plugged in 24/7 but I do enjoy the perks of being visible online 24/7. Get it?

Here’s my #1 Reason why I automate, after that everything else falls into place. (Notice there is no hand held device anywhere near us!)

  • Titi Nancy! Best reason ever. Between her and my own niece and nephew, I now know why people pinch cheeks :) Nancy you could have entered no words at all except "My reason for automating some of my social networking" with that photo and people would have got it. Picture speaks volumes.

There's power and radiance of true values like family and freedom. People will see that on this blog and realize instantly "I should try this because I want more of what's in that photo". No dollar amount or famous evangelist can match the sway this imagery and what it represents.
